Wednesday June 19th

A lovely, but long drive from LSPP to Thunder Bay.  Arrived in time for a real Finnish sauna at Kangas - hotter than I could manage for more than 30 minutes or so - but the minimum booking time is 90 minutes! I'd have been a lobster! Felt wonderful to get rid of all the black fly bodies hidden in my hair...

Followed up with a dinner of Finnish pancakes. The people were lovely - very friendly and interested in my travels.

Quiet night in the Walmart Parking lot. I have to say that I've been very critical of Walmart camping, and Walmarts in general, but this one had a great selection of South Asian foods which surprised me, and the camping was quiet and uneventful. It was funny to see my wee trailer beside 8 other huge rigs. And the price is right!

Off this morning to Ignace and then on to Sandbar Provincial Park which is 11 km north.

Managed to book Buffalo Pound Provincial Park in Saskatchewan for the July 1st weekend - most places were full and I'm glad to have somewhere to stay!

I'm in a new time zone!

Classic lake shots - the water was wonderful, and there were dragon flies and loons. And not another person in the park as far as I could tell. Delightful place to spend the afternoon reading, swimming, and generally lazing!

Clintonia - right at my campsite!
